            This Privacy Policy document explicitly governs the collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of user data by the Carib Live Player application for Android phones, tablets, Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, and Smart TVs, distributed by Carib Group of Companies LTD.
        

1. Information We Collect

Carib Live Player is a multimedia streaming and playlist player. We respect your privacy and only process the minimal information necessary for core application functionality:

Account & Authentication Credentials: Username, password, or activation code provided by you or your service provider to connect your playlist/stream subscription.
Device Identifiers & Technical Information: Ephemeral device identifier, IP address, operating system version, and display resolution. This information is processed strictly to validate concurrent line limits, enforce subscription security, and deliver resolution-optimized video streams (720p to 8K).
Application Diagnostics: Crash logs and playback performance metrics to ensure video smoothness and resolve system errors.

2. How We Use Information

To authenticate active device sessions and prevent unauthorized concurrent stream misuse.
To manage device standby power-off and cleanly release streaming lines when TV screens are switched off.
To enhance media player stability and compatibility with hardware decoders.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data is shared only with trusted infrastructure providers required to operate the service:

Google AdMob: For displaying non-intrusive advertisements in ad-supported tiers. Google AdMob may collect device advertising IDs in accordance with Google Play developer policies.
Secure Cloud Infrastructure: All communication between Carib Live Player and backend authentication services is encrypted via industry-standard Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Camera Permission & QR Scanning

The Android application requests optional camera access solely to enable the quick QR code scanner for convenient login and device link. No camera frames, images, or facial data are recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

You have the absolute right to request permanent deletion of your account and any associated personal data at any time, in compliance with Google Play Developer Programme Policies (User Data - Account Deletion Requirement), GDPR, and CCPA.

What is deleted: Upon receiving and verifying your request, your full name, email address, phone number, registered username, hashed password, device identifiers (device_id, MAC address), playlist codes, and streaming history are completely purged within 7 business days.

What may be retained: Transaction and payment invoice identifiers are retained strictly for the statutory retention period required by applicable tax, financial, and legal accounting laws.

6. Children's Privacy

Carib Live Player is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
